Shumate Mechanical is a mechanical contracting company that provides full services which includes Sheet Metal Fabrication and Installation for our customers. Sheet metal ductwork ranges from rectangular and round to specialty items such as curbs and equipment frames which are effectively fabricated to job sites, where our foremen coordinate and perform installation.
Shumate Mechanical is supported by a sister company called Alliance Supply & Piping- ASAP, which produces state-of-the-art fabrication. ASAP, located in Lavonia, Georgia, staffs a full fleet of trucks and drivers to guarantee prompt jobsite delivery throughout the Southeast. Dedicated support from ASAP allows Shumate Mechanical to produce materials and products for any job on demand. ASAP has a full coil line, multiple plasma tables and a water jet table powered by Vulcan Software, which effectively produces rectangular sheet metal ductwork ranging from low pressure and medium pressure ductwork that is internally lined as required to grease ductwork or other specialty ductwork such as high pressure exhaust or stainless and aluminum construction. Having over 50,000 square feet of manufacturing space allows ample room for fitting, specialty item fabrication and welding in addition to straight ductwork mass fabrication and storage. Many with over 20 years of experience in the HVAC industry, our Foremen embrace our philosophy of customer service and understand what it takes to construct a project per specifications and on-time. Always on site for day to day and hour to hour coordination with customer Superintendents and Project Managers, our Sheet Metal Foremen supervise an appropriate size crew customized for each project. Safety Safety is integrated into every construction project by planning and pre-planning various construction activities. Each of Shumate Mechanical's Sheet Metal foremen receives continuous education and updates on safety. Each Foreman typically has the following safety certifications: OSHA 10, Fall Protection Competent Person, Shumate Safety Program, Lift Operation & Safety, Lull and Forklift Operation & Safety, Powder Actuated Tools, and CPR & First Aid. Many have additional safety certifications including Confined Space, OSHA 30, Scaffold Competent Person, and more. On-Site Communication Equipped with smart devices to allow immediate communication and data transfer to our office, project managers, and customers, Shumate Mechanical's Sheet Metal foremen are able to facilitate quick and efficient communication.
